For over a hundred years, we have been producing award winning dairy products. We believe cheesemaking is an art form that relies on two things: the quality and purity of the ingredients, and the skill and passion of the artisan.
Since 1998 Ian McIntosh has studied and perfected the art of artisan cheesemaking. "All our soft cheeses are made slowly in small batches by hand. I can tell instinctively how the cheese will perform when I cut the curds. On paper making cheese might seem like a relatively straightforward thing to do. In reality it is a much more skilful and instinctive process."
Over the years, Ian recognises how people have come to appreciate the skill that goes into making these hand crafted cheeses. “People relish good quality food when they taste it. I believe that‘s why Fivemiletown cheeses are so popular. They are made with love and care. And that always shines through. I’m extremely proud of the cheeses I make and am glad to put my name on them.”
