The Clogher Valley is nature’s country. A lush, pastoral landscape that offers its gifts to our master cheesemakers with all its heart and soul. For over a hundred years, we have been producing award winning dairy products. We believe cheesemaking is an art form that relies on two things: the quality and purity of the ingredients, and the skill and passion of the artisan.
In Partnership with his son Stuart and brother Ian, William has been running the original farm – Drumard, extending this to include Drumgoon Farm in the beautiful setting of County Fermanagh.
The Graham partners currently possess one of the biggest herds in Fermanagh with 280 cows supplying Fivemiletown Creamery. “I am proud to supply Fivemiletown Creamery! As it is farmer owned I have a feeling of belonging as well as having a real input into the business, and after all, they do make exceptional cheese!”
Of course for Fivemiletown to make enough exceptional cheese for everyone to enjoy, William describes how his main target is to “maximise output while constantly checking the cows rations to ensure they are performing to their optimum.”
William describes farming as being “in the blood” and has been getting stuck in since he was two years old. As he grew up it became a “natural progression” to continue farming, and went on to become ‘Top Student of Agriculture’ at Greenmount Agricultural College.
William portrays farming as challenging yet rewarding.
“My brother, Ian and I took over Drumgoon Farm in 2005 and have built it up with the help of my sons Stuart and Jason. I am proud to watch my boys take a real interest and pride in farming, and I am pleased to know they want to follow in my footsteps and hopefully continue this through future generations.”
